What is the Human Dream?
The Human Dream is a Divine vision coming through each and every human heart that illuminates the pathway through the transformational challenges of our times. It guides us as a species out of humanity's adolescence, through our human metamorphosis, and into our spiritual maturity and collective adulthood. It harvests the best of the American Dream and universalizes it into a vision of our destiny as a healthy, loving and fulfilling world that works for all.

History of the Human Dream
Humanity has had myths of a paradise in our distant past and in our future since antiquity. Of course, in the Judeo-Christian tradition, the Garden of Eden represents a divinely connected era in our ancient past. Utopian visions have periodically emerged in countless cultures throughout history. More recently, Buckminster Fuller offered us the phrase “a world that works for everyone” as a practical way to inspire this possibility.

On December 31, 1986, in Denver, Colorado, as a part of a global event, called the World Instant of Cooperation, Richard Ruster had a powerful spiritual awakening of the Heart in which he knew this vision of a peaceful, joyful, loving and creatively fulfilling world for everyone is a Divine seed that is planted in every human heart. As a part of that experience, he sensed this vision is called the Human Dream. Since that time, the phrase is popping up elsewhere with increased frequency, most recently in Dan Brown’s latest best-selling book, The Lost Symbol.

Richard has nurtured this seed in his heart and lived aligned with this vision ever since. Over the years, he has also written and offered workshops about it and the transformational process that is bringing us into awareness of living this way of life on planet earth. The Human Dream Certification Training

The Center for the Human Dream offers a year-long Shifting to the Human Dream Certification Program which can be taken as a tele-course, series or as part of a year of residency at Hummingbird Community. There are seven courses, each six weeks long with the following course titles: Shifting to the Human Dream: The Four Questions, The Process of Metamorphosis: Pathway into the Human Dream, The Universal Pattern: Cultivating Wholeness, The Hologram of Life: Scales and Sectors of Society, The New Economics: Redesigning Society’s Foundational Pattern, Synthesis Spirituality: Our Multiple Awakenings, Integration: Transforming our Way of Life as a Daily Practice. One and Two year Residential Certification Programs at Hummingbird Living School

The partner relationship between Hummingbird Living School’s Certification Program in Co-Creative Community Building and the Center for the Human Dream’s Certification Program in Shifting to the Human Dream, offer the powerful foundation of a two-year multi-certification residential program at Hummingbird Living School. This program offers you the possibility, according you your goals, to acquire several certifications, including: Hummingbird Community Apprenticeship Certification, Co-Creative Community Building Certification, Permaculture Certification, Shifting to the Human Dream Certification, as well as other’s you may weave into your unique program. Upon completion of this residential learning program graduates will be empowered as individuals (and groups) to be optimally prepared to found their own intentional, sustainable, co-creative communities, and/or be leaders in local, bioregional, and global transformation. This curriculum empowers individuals, intentional communities, transformational projects and organizations in pioneering the pathway into the New Dream in a very conscious and proactive way as a daily life practice.
